Excellent night with the Pao/Lo/Tsang collective over the weekend; was nice to drop by for a little bit, and hear some of Adrienne's steady paced blues across Peel Street at the East of West show. Music in Hong Kong isn't anything like the drop of water in the desert I remember when I first rolled around this town a bit jetlagged, now a few years gone.

Robbin had a stunt go South, so the Viking will be guarded in his mead hall this week. But that aside, (Jan 18 - Jan 24):

• Monday: Karissa, Rod, and Carr step in to keep the full 7 nights of the musical week going strong, and some electric guitar licks (9:30PM)
• Tuesday: Open Mic gains a week reprieve from any rule changes, with a great jam last week (9:30PM)
• Wednesday: The Soul Crusaders are back with a special guest drummer, for the organ trio sounds of the 60s (9:30PM)
• Thursday: Chris "Coñ" Polanco keeps Latin rhythms full of big sound and hot musicians (10PM)
• Friday: Charlie Huntley is joined by special guest Eugene Pao for a full featured musical experience; see below (10PM)
• Saturday: Karissa Muse on guitar, Daniel Lo on piano, Tsang Tak Hong on bass, and Felicito on drums brings together a quartet of contemporary jazz fury (9:30PM)
• Sunday: Chill out, with the hard wrought tunes of improvised Hong Kong for your casual fare
